Stay You is a unique series of gift books designed to support youth in staying true to themselves through life's pivotal moments. Inspired by the pressures of social media and a rapidly changing world, Stay You promotes the simple yet powerful message: be yourself. Each visually driven story follows Izzy, the main character, as they experience meaningful milestones—graduation, friendship, travel, and more—encountering moments of both challenge and celebration. Stay You inspires readers to embrace their individuality and self-worth.
Visually, the series blends dynamic, AI-assisted backgrounds with 3D character design, creating a fresh and modern aesthetic. The commercial vision includes regular new releases, each tailored to pivotal moments in a young person's journey, making Stay You both collectible and shareable.
To enhance engagement, QR codes within the books connect readers to short animated clips, bringing Izzy’s journey to life online. These digital extensions offer uplifting messages and interactive storytelling enabling Stay You to foster a multilevel engagement with young readers.

Between 2013 to 2016, I published several apps and eBooks for kids; some were released under Monkeybear Press. I collaborated with Seunghyuk (David) Jang. We agreed that we wanted to keep advertising out of kids media. Over 136K apps and 28K eBooks have been downloaded!
Here is a privacy statement we needed to post in order to publish our kids apps:

Our products do not solicit a child’s information as part of game play or otherwise, and are in compliance with Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not collect any personal, or non-personal data, or user-generated content, in any of its applications. We will thus never share any personal, or non-personal, data with third parties or otherwise. If a User contacts us by email, we will use the personally identifiable email address information only to respond to the specific inquiry. We also will never share any customer information, sell your email address, or other information. If you have any questions, please contact us at monkeybearpress@gmail.com”
